2019 ChapterGram
Year in Review
The year kicked off at Bosko’s Clubhouse Grill, Cleveland Heights Golf Club with a speaker from the National Crime Stop Program.
In April, 2 local high school seniors read their winning essays discussing Ethics. Our chapter awarded each with a $1,000 scholarship.
At the June meeting, we went to the Polk County Sheriff Office PROCAP room to hear Sheriff Grady Judd speak. He discussed his stance on risk management and community involvement.
In August we had the privilege of meeting in the newly renovated Lakeland Country Club. Ms. Lenora Spence from the Consumer Advocate team at the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services spoke about scams, fraud and the do not call program.
October concluded our year with a local conferment celebration at Jensen’s Corner Bar in Winter Haven. The new officers for 2020 were also installed.
2020 topics include the Hurricane Hunters from Lakeland Linder Airport as well as SunTrax Autonomous Vehicle testing in Auburndale.
Don’t forget to pay your 2020 dues so you can be ‘in the know’ of our local happenings!
